Dairy
Milk reception, the cooling that follows, and the name the morning team inherits
Reception is the last moment you still know whose milk it is. The cooling that follows is where a warm tank becomes everybody’s problem and nobody’s name. The product example is built around that handoff.
The handoff that goes missing
A collection centre or a processing plant takes milk in the evening. The reception bay and the cooling sit on different routines: one owned by intake, one by maintenance, both watched badly by a gauge and a notebook. An alert overnight is useful only if the morning team can see that a person responded.
FactoraERP’s own writing on milk intake treats the platform as the cheap place to stop bad milk. IoT does not replace that checklist. It is the temperature half of the same night: the bay, the cooler, and the name.
The example workflow, not a customer
The public IoT page uses milk reception as an example, and it says so. Reception and cooling appear on the live sensor floor and the floor map. When an alert is raised overnight, the maintenance technician on shift acknowledges it by name, so the morning team sees who responded in the alerts list.
That sentence is the scope of the example. It does not say we have a dairy in the Rift on this software. It does not say a lab result, a rejection, or a farmer payment is calculated from the probe. Temperature records stay on the batch that was in the tank or the room, and the plant can produce a PDF from them.
What to bring to a walk-through
The names of the bays and the tanks, the band you hold after reception, and who is actually on site after midnight. If a PLC already runs the cooler, bring the make. We will not claim we can read it until that unit has been tried.
If your loss is rejected milk rather than a warm room, say the shilling figure. The payback calculator on the resources page is there for that conversation. It is a model, and the software fee it uses is the same draft price as the rest of this site.

Bring the room names and the bands you already run. We will put them on the floor and say which commercial details on this site are still drafts.
