Hardware

A kit, specified only as far as we can stand behind.

Plants get sold a gateway with a model number that was never on their wall. This page refuses that. Buffering when the link drops is in the app. Make, model, radio and a battery across a power cut are not.

Intended contents

Make, model, radio, enclosure and who owns the gateway are not published. Buffering when the cloud link drops is separate, and that behaviour is in the app. The software bundle beside it, four points, is the draft cold-room kit at 18,500 shillings a month, hardware extra.

LineSpecification
Store-and-forwardVerified in the app: when the cloud connection drops, readings stay on the gateway and sync later. Buffered count, Sync now, Pause sync. Not a published battery or a named model.

Who comes to site, in which counties, and how long a four-probe cold room takes are not published. When the connection to the cloud drops, the gateway keeps readings and syncs them later. The screen shows a buffered count, and an operator can choose Sync now or Pause sync. That is store-and-forward for a dropped link. It is not a claim that a battery rides through a power cut.

What to photograph before anyone visits

A remote look at the room saves a wasted day on site. These are the pictures and facts that make a twenty-minute demo concrete. They are also what an installer, once we can name one, will ask for.

  • A sketch or photo of the rooms, using the names your shift already uses.
  • The band for each room, for example 0–4°C, and who is allowed to change it.
  • Where the network reaches those rooms, and where it does not. Buffering covers a dropped link. A battery across a power cut is a separate question.
  • The make of any PLC or meter you hope to read. The connector type exists. The brand is not confirmed until that unit has been read.
  • Who is on shift at 1am. Acknowledgement stores their name, and MFA is required for every user.
  • What one rejected or downgraded consignment costs you, roughly, in shillings.

Protocols and brands belong on the integrations page, still as intentions. Do not accept a hardware quote that lists a PLC family we have not read.

Hardware questions

Not decided on this page. The kit is meant to be a gateway plus the probes a room needs, and ownership — sold, rented or customer-supplied — is unconfirmed. If you already have probes, say so. We will not pretend a brand we have not tested will appear on the live floor.

The intention is a plant electrician, with remote support from the FactoraERP team, rather than a flight from another country. Who actually comes to site, and in which counties, is not confirmed. Ask before you book a shutdown.

No. The cold-room figure on the pricing page is a draft software fee for four points. Hardware has no list price. Do not add the two together and call it a quote.

Bring the room names and the bands you already run. We will put them on the floor and say which commercial details on this site are still drafts.
