Agro-processing

Tea, dairy and grain milling. Open one dashboard.

The plant

Green leaf, raw milk and grain already move on a clock. Industrial IoT keeps the stage that decides quality — withering, the hold tube, the silo headspace — with the batch, and shapes the exception into a job in FactoraERP. This is a processing plant. Open-field soil and livestock stay in FarmMate.

Factory dashboards

Each plant type has its own view. Open one.

Where a first line usually starts

  • Out-turn is argued from two books: green leaf in, made tea out.
  • Withering fans and the dryer dominate the electricity, and the monthly bill does not say which.
  • A warm milk silo or a hot grain headspace is found on the next shift, not on this one.

One section

A withering trough bank and one dryer, or one raw-milk silo and the pasteuriser, or one silo and the mill feeder. Not the whole estate.

Meters already on RS485

Grid, generator and the stage feeder. Reuse a meter the plant already trusts. The survey says which ones.

The batch the shift already names

Invoice, lot or manufacture order in FactoraERP. The reading is filed against that, not against a new code.

From the sensor to the action

  1. 01

    Sense

Stage temperature and humidity, fan and dryer energy, silo level, hold-tube temperature, door contacts where a cold room exists.

  2. 02

    Connect

An industrial gateway at the process area polls Modbus RTU and RS485 and calls out over HTTPS or MQTT. A site router covers Ethernet meters and the LTE uplink.

  3. 03

    Platform

Industrial IoT checks the per-sensor token and stores the reading against that factory only. Demo readings stay labelled.

  4. 04

    Insight

Out-turn, specific electricity, hold time and headspace humidity for the shift. The first measured month is the baseline.

  5. 05

    ERP action

Downtime, energy and a quality drift are shaped into a work order, a batch record and a cost in FactoraERP. That exchange is commissioned with the implementation.
