Industrial IoT for the plant you run.

Certified sensors, an industrial gateway, and a platform that turns a reading into work in FactoraERP. Start with one line. Every industry on this site can request a pilot.

What you can rely on

  • One plant, isolatedA factory only sees its own sensors. Each sensor has its own token.
  • Vendor chosen laterHardware is described by role. The vendor is picked after the site survey.
  • No public price listThe implementation is quoted for the site. This site does not publish prices.
  • Demo stays labelledSample readings stay marked until a real gateway is commissioned.

What Industrial IoT is

Industrial IoT, or IIoT, is the plant’s own network of sensors, gateways and software. It is built for a factory, a cold store, a pump house or a mill, where a missed reading costs a shift. A home gadget and a line meter are not the same job.

Six layers, then the work

A reading moves through the same path on every factory type.

  1. 1

    Sensors

Temperature, humidity, vibration, current, energy, level, flow, weight and door contacts on the machine or the room. A 4–20 mA signal comes in through a Modbus input module, because the gateway’s onboard analog input is not always a current loop.

  2. 2

    Industrial gateways

A certified serial gateway polls Modbus RTU and RS485 and publishes the engineering units. A site router sits at the switchboard for Ethernet PLCs, meters and the site uplink. One gateway covers a process area, not the whole factory. Hardware is multi-vendor: LoRaWAN, Modbus and 4G/LTE.

  3. 3

    Connectivity

Dual SIM LTE where fibre is unreliable, Ethernet where the plant LAN is already there. The gateway calls out over HTTPS or MQTT. The factory firewall does not have to accept an inbound connection.

  4. 4

    Platform

Industrial IoT checks the per-sensor token, stores the reading against that factory only, and shows it to the people signed into the plant. A reading from the simulator stays labelled demo data.

  5. 5

    Analytics

Alerts, OEE, energy per unit and condition trends for the shift. The point is a number the next shift can act on, not a chart that needs an analyst to explain it.

  6. 6

    FactoraERP sync

Downtime, counts, energy and quality are shaped to become work orders, batch records and cost in FactoraERP. Batches, products, shifts and targets come back the other way. That exchange is commissioned with the implementation.

From the sensor to the cost

A reading that stays on a dashboard is a notification. The path runs from the probe to a person, a work order, the batch and the cost.

  1. 01

    Sensor

A monitored point reports onto the floor: temperature, door, energy, vibration, machine state, and the rest of the catalog.

  2. 02

    Alarm

Alerts go out on WhatsApp, SMS and email once the plant’s messaging accounts are connected, and they escalate if the person on shift does not take them.

  3. 03

    Work order

An alarm is built to open a maintenance work order for the shift, instead of waiting for someone to retype it. The FactoraERP exchange is commissioned with the implementation.

  4. 04

    Acknowledgement

The person on shift taps the card. The alert stores their name, not a role code, and they can resolve it from the same card.

  5. 05

    Batch record

Stage conditions stay with the batch that was in the room. The plant can produce a PDF of that record.

  6. 06

    Cost

Spoilage, energy and downtime are shaped to land on the batch in finance, in the same record as the lot.

What changes on the shift

Uptime

A stop and a vibration change show up on the shift. The maintenance job is raised from that event.

Energy per unit

Feeder meters become kilowatt-hours per unit once output is known. The first measured month is the baseline. No savings figure is published before that.

Quality with the batch

Stage conditions stay with the batch, so a drift is a record the next shift can read.

When the link drops

When the connection to the cloud drops, the gateway keeps readings and syncs them later. The screen shows a buffered count, and an operator can choose Sync now or Pause sync. That is store-and-forward for a dropped link. It is not a claim that a battery rides through a power cut. The gateway’s make and model are not published.

Factory dashboards

Tea, dairy and grain milling are written out first. Every other factory type has the same kind of view.

Industries

Agro-processing is first. Each industry is open. Agriculture in the field opens FarmMate. A processing plant stays here.

Security, in one line

Each factory is isolated, each sensor has its own token, and sign-in can require an authenticator.Read the security page.
